From big feelings to big jumps, toddlers between ages 2 and 3 experience explosive growth in language, motor skills, and independence. It’s a time of curiosity, boundary-pushing, and self-expression.

This age is sometimes called “the terrible twos” — but it’s also a time of tremendous transformation.

⚠️ When to Call Your Pediatrician

  • Doesn’t speak in short phrases by 30–36 months
  • Limited eye contact or social engagement
  • Frequent falls or poor coordination
  • Doesn’t follow simple instructions
  • Regression in previously acquired skills
